navigation issue (SHIFT + mouse movement)

Hi all,

I’ve been searching almost everywhere the answer of my question and I can’t find it… I don’t know if this problem has been talked about before but maybe someone could help me :(!
It’s not a major problem but it’s kind of annoying sometimes…

When I hit SHIFT and I do a movement with my mouse (or my pen), I navigate around my ztool. For exemple :
SHIFT + circle with the mouse = frames the ztool
SHIFT + several vertical movement = zoom in
SHIFT + several horizontal movement = rotate

Is that a new feature? I’ve been reading the documentation and haven’t found anything about that…

If there is a way to disable that, it would be awesome.

I’ve been trying to figure this out as well. But to me, this is a major problem.
It’s driving me bonkers. I do a lot of clicking on shift to smooth …moving my mouse all over the place as I do. Model jumps all over the place…

i also have this issue and really drives me crazy >_<

don’t get me wrong, mouse/pen gestures i’m sure is a helpful feature for some people but there should be a way to disable it.

Or at least a way to assign a new key for smooth brushes…

any help would be more than welcome… :frowning:

Thanks for posting this - this bothers me since ZB4 release!
I thought I´m the only one who discovered that really annoying new “feature” …
It interrupts my workflow in a way that switched back to 3.5 for sculpting.

The only way to really avoid this, is to move the mouse over an area, then hold down shift and then click, without any further movement.
Are most ppl sculpting that way?? When smoothing certain areas, I hold down shift all the time, while smoothing here and there, lifting the stylus between those points.

The thing is, that I cant really reproduce this crap by will - it seems to be very very fuzzy and it mostly happens randomly.

Any Statement from Pixologic would be very appreciated! I really wonder why there aren´t more ppl complaining about this?!
