Getting there slowly!
Here’s one I did today for fun. Rendered in ZBrush and then finished off in PhotoShop.
Here’s one I started last night and completed today. Here are The plain sculpt and polypainted versions…
…and the final rendered version, finishing touches again in PhotoShop.
Started to polypaint in colours and add fine details…
This is my first attempt at sculpting a female in ZBrush. I didn’t use any references for this, was
just from my head, so anatomy may not be perfect. I currently don’t have a second screen at home so don’t have
the screen space for references sadly - hoping to sort one out soon though! This took around two hours today.
I’m planning on creating some clothing pieces for her in the future.
Afternoon guys, here’s another update on ‘Turtle Man’. Started blocking in his clothing now, just going with the flow really and experimenting a bit with shapes.
I really like the cat sculpt and render - nice work!
it is cool to see you are doing a lot of characters, thats great keep it goin!
Cheers,
- Kenny:)
Thanks very much Kenny, I’m trying my best to do as much as possible in my spare time right now! Glad you liked the Cat, I was quite fond of it!
I began a new random sculpt today, just did the usual starting from a sphere then just saw where it took me.
I re-rendered my version of the son of Skaro, Davros. Finished in Photoshop.
I’m also participating in this years Halloween Challenge for fun! This as far as I’ve got so far:
Here is a link to my thread so you can see the WIP from the start.

I love roman solder it is great and creature textures…impresive
@tutus, thanks very much!!
New lunchtime project! Thought I’d take a really old piece of concept art I did from a few years back and turn the character into a 3D sculpt.
I haven’t tried sculpting anything ‘cartoony’ so thought it would be a good practice piece too, and fun!
Here’s the original concept painting and my first WIP progress for it, two and a half hours work so far…
Another 45 mins spent on this one, sculpted his Bandanna and have begun his upper torso.
I’ve decided to mix this one up a bit and change the design from the original concept I did, because I thought he would look nice in army gear! Still not completely done but almost!
Another update on the army character! I’ve begun adding some accessories now…
I wanted to do a better render of my Turtle man character General Takori now I’ve learnt a bit more about rendering using ZBrush. I set up new lighting and finished off the ‘fog’ effect using Photoshop.
I hope you like him!
Very cool … looking good!
Cheers, david
Thanks David! I ended up doing another render of my Thane Krios sculpt to make him look a little prettier.
I’ve decided to go back to an old sculpt I never finished and work on it to completion, this is still a work in progress…
