Name the Movie.----now with Poster.

Hi all, I started playing around modeling what must be one of the worst costumes in movie history, but still one of my fav old films. Who knows it? 50.

No it’s not that  Robby the robot here

Pilou
Ps Seems you have missed a special thread for you here

EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS

Leave it to you Pilou. You should go on a Game Show. :+1: And thanks for the thread link! 50.

Hey guy ! You’re truly irresistible, and your comments are funny! Thank’s god to give us The Pilou, the real WEB MASTER !!! ha ha ha

Wow… those truly are the worst costumes in movie history. Ah, beautiful B movies, how I love thee…

Didn’t see this in time! Bullet heads rule! Great ‘C’ level movie! I think it was done on the budget most Director’s command these days, or is that their assitant’s salaries… I think I have this film somewhere in my archives, I will have to dredge it up. Probably on VHS from an old B/W TV (not that that matters).

Go 50sKID!

Now I have one for you, ‘What character was based on this design in the 80’s, on a Sci-Fi TV series? Think short!’ Frenchy Pilou?? Anyone? Bueller?

It’s weird that robby the robot should be mentioned… I had a very strange dream last night about doing a model of him in zbrush while covered in custard last night. I really must cut down on the cheese sarnies late at night.

Wayne…

Hey .50!

Cool dude!
Make a new retro poster with this techno can!

woo hoo now we are talking…go 50’s go!!! Looks like you are mastering those zspheres rather well!! I CANNOT wait to see how this one turns out.

jason…have two thoughts can’t put a name to the first but the other thought i think comes from Dr. who but can’t name the character i am thinking of…so american or no?

Darth…don’t quite know what to say about a fella who zbrushs covered in custard but I think I like it hahahaha.

…I don’t see Tv

'What character was based on this design in the 80’s, on a Sci-Fi TV series?

But from the helmet inspiration form you have that Movie Z…z

ZARDOZ!!! Jason, as Pilou hinted. Sean Connery, right?
smileman, yes, Pilou IS a gift from God.
Tidalias, greetings, yes, the badder the better.
Jason, I haven’t seen it in awhile. Harryhausen on the rampage again! Maybe they could remake it.
Darthwayne, how wierd! I would hate to try to model Robby in Zbrush, although I’m sure that some of the people around here could.
Sebecesior, I have started on the Saucer and a Movie Poster could be fun.
aminuts, Zsphere,…the fasted way to model!
See ya at the next update guys. Thanks for looking.

Loved those old movies also. Great work

Wow, Zardoz! I had forgotten that Harryhausen - I guess I’ll accept that answer as well! Actually I was thinking of the remake series of Buck Rogers and Twiki. Everytime I saw that silly character I thought of ‘Earth vs The Flying Saucers’ - maybe it was just me.

Oh my wife is laughing at us all!

Frenchie, don’t worry, you’re imagination more than makes up for the lack of a radiation box!

I like this idea that we have captured from the latest ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’, where we describe these historical films and guess!

50sKid is right - Zsphere’s rule!!!

Hey, Tartan, thanks.
Oh,…Twiki,…I forgot about Twiki. I don’t see the resemblance  .

Kewl work, Rich…can’t wait to see your poster:+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

yeah Twiki did look a little like “Rontu(?)”

Hi Ron, I’m up early and I’m on it. The little guy who wore that suit surely did not have klastrophobia! (spelling?) 50.

Good morning, Rich…yer up early and I am finally going to try to go to sleep once again…lol…glad to hear you are bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to render

Check out the slimy tentacles thread too…Jantim posted some wonderful materials and so did a couple of others…Blaine and some one else too I believe…very promising mats for sure…might have to revisit the monster at cove lake :+1:  :+1:

Yeah the actor was Felix Silia or Sila I believe…he did alot of “short people” works in the 70 and 80s if I remember right…one in particular that I loved…starred Kim Darby (movie of the week) Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark…I believe that title is right…excellent late night popcorn movie…

Have a great day my friend…

ciao,
Ron

Hi Ron, here’s what I accomplished this morning. I used a model I have on my desk as reference. I haven’t added the little round thingys under the skirt yet. The skirt, by the way, was the hardest part as it hangs down from the disk. I did some radial low poly modeling on a cylinder to get that. Sleep? What’s that?

Plus, you have to build the little arm thingy that comes out and shoots the ray at the White House! Good Stuff, Rich. I love that movie…
