Nadja-head done in Zbrush

Not really. First thing I do is to define a base color for the skin and the pallete for the skin tones. After that, I apply the base color to the model´s texture and start using Zap Link on top of it. And sometimes, I use the regular Zbrush paiting tools (not Projection Master) just for a quick color and shape blocking.

And then back and forth with Zap Link from and to Photoshop

Thanks,
Ricardo

hey ricardo, you have managed to capture a nice comic style, hurray. 5 stars.

a 5 star material …very nice botht he model and composite image. :+1: :+1:

Fantastic stuff! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

PS:Only thing sticking out is the shiny forearm… To much specularity? But probably just me. Maybe sweat…

Though it is said already I have to say: 5 star work.
Are you creating game or something.

Very good work, why yet in the top line?

This is supposed to be part of a game proposal/pitch for the company that I´m part of, but right now it´s more for fun and experimenting then any other thing.

And I´m gonna try posting the low poly version of “Nadja” this week, my goal is to get a good result with 6000 tris for the whole model, no weapon.

Thanks (and I´m really glad people liked the composition),
Ricardo

P.S.: And about the arm´s specular, I may have pushed too hard on that, but the intention was to make her look sexy

She looks very simular to poser6’s jessi oonly in the base mesh shots, did you build her up from scratch?Fantastic stuff…cal

Yeap, from scratch. Here is her base mesh:

very nice modeling! love the solidity of the model. the only thing i would say is that the specualr on her skin is very high makes her look a bit sweaty which is a bit of a shame. otherwise grand job! good luck on the low poly version. cant wait to see it!

I have to say I´m inclined to change her specular, as you said. I´m gonna do some tests with her skin shaders, you´re the third person to say she may be too sweaty  and I think you guys are right, yeap.

And as soon as I finish her low-poly version, I´ll post here.

And thanks for the opinion and I´m really glad you liked!

Ricardo

Ricardo, Really nice design on her. The presentation is sweet too. I do have to agree with the too much spec crowd, though. Too much spec makes characters look “plasticy” or oily. She’s too fine a model to have the wet look…

Either way, she’s a very appealing chracter and I can’t wait to see where you go from here…

5 stars indeed…

Dickie

catata,

Holy cow! That’s a great image.
To me it’s picture perfect.

Your extremely talented and your work is top notch.

FIVE STARS FROM ME, AND MY VOTE FOR TOP ROW.

~BW

Ricardo this is awesome work my friend. 5 stars from me, this is top row stuff for sure. Forgive me, but can you post a close up of the textured head with the hair? Again fantastic work, keep it up!

Sure I can, right now I´m doing a halfbody rendering.

Tomorrow it may be ready (hair handering using Mr primitives is a way too slowin 3ds max). So tomorrow or maybe Wednesday I should be able to post a close up of the face with hair, no problem at all.

Thanks,
Ricardo

Thanks for showing the base,I think your girl is alot softer than jessi and better looking for sure. Just from memeory she looked like a relative lol.Really like the image,5star!Bye cal

Great sculpt and paint work! One of the finest I have seen here so far, if you ask me! Extremely lifelike. I love the subtlety of the sculpt and design. I see no reason why this shouldnt be at the top of the featured gallery.
Keep it up and do post more pictures, if available.

very very good work !

I like the colors

:+1:

It’s a nice model but two things seem off. Her left shoulder looks unnatural raised like that. I don’t know if you are using the natural bone influence in the program you are posing her in but, you might need to manually relax the mesh so the bend looks more natural. The bend between her shoulder and neck is too “steep”. Find a mirror and pose your shoulder like hers and you’ll see what I mean.

The second problems lies with her pose. It seems too stiff. Her pelvis should tilt more forward and her feet should be slightly more back. Her current pose makes her look unbalanced and plain awkward.

Apart from that, the modelling is well done and the character looks pretty cool. You just need to make changes to her pose to make her slightly more dynamic and natural. Plus you need to fix the shoulder bend.

Well Done.

Forgot to mention one more thing. Arms, in their natural state, are slightly bent forward at the elbows.
