Hello all,
I’ve been working on a model for a bit and just as I switched the material to BumpViewer to put in some bumpy details, I noticed some mystery squares on the model. I can’t smooth them out or even use something like the polish or dynamic brushes to get rid of them. They only appear to be on a few parts of my model, I don’t know that I used any different tools from the usual on these parts.
Any suggestions on what they may be and how to fix them?
I greatly appreciate any ideas.
not sure but in bump material viewer you erase with black color(like zsub) and with white color(like zadd) and the default 125,125,125 also check if you have texture on…
Argh, yes indeed - PolyPaint was on for that Subtool. Not sure how those weird artifacts got introduced into the paint on it, but now that I know … I don’t really care, I’ll just erase it.
Thanks for your input!
your welcome! glad to know you get it!
The BumpViewer material is design to react to the color of your model - to help with painting bump details. I shouldn’t have thought it is the best material when you want to sculpt details.
