My Z3 experiments thread

I’ll just be posting my experiments in one thread for a while, might be better then starting a new thread each time

Nice results Namek. Z3 is going to be a lot of fun. Now if only zapplink was working lol

The Namek, can you tell me if it’s possible using mesh extract to make a helmet like the one in the linked image? I’ve not had chance to use ZB yet so would be interested to know.

Can ZB push and pull while keeping the surfaces flat etc? I’m interested to see how the side ear guards would be made etc.

Cheers.

Hey, this is really good! I love it!

well yes , what you do is you mask everything except the part where the ear guards need to be extended. (blurmask for a less harsh transition)

Then you use the deformation sliders to pull it down evenly, or bend it or any other deformation.

Atleast thats how i would do it , still need to try it out though , so i could be telling you all lies

Ok thanks, so long as it’s practiacally possible then I should be ok. Love the detail on the helm you’ve done, really clean. Keep up the great work!

Great work Namek, yes i agree with you related to stand each one in a sort of personal thread showing the progress.

I like very much your results and i also saw your psoitive result with retopology tool, i wish you can share your step in this issue because im still getting the hand:D

Here you go , quick example , is that what you mean ?

Yep that’s getting there, I’m sure with more time I’d be able to come up with some excellent results if you can do that in a few minutes. Thanks :+1:

Thanks,look just outstanding!

Really good job!
Nice use of the different features!
I’m waiting for the fianl picture!

(my suggestion: reduce the amount of realtime shadows for more subtile effect on the skin shading)

Poly peint experiment, my elf has seen better days lol , he looks like a corpse now

Man The Namek, you’re blazing through those features!

another subtool test, dont ask, i just went along with pulling and pushing till something came out of it.

One thing i’m still wondering is how to make it show all subtools with equal color, now it just darks out the subtools dont have selected.

The new models have much more sharpness in them. Looks like your rocking along Namek! :+1:
Was wondering about subtoolshading as well, but no solution from me…

hhahah love that subtool experiment. Looks like some kinda weird superhero.

Hello,

for the subTool question; you can fill every subTool with a white color (RGB- Color- FillObject) or quite simple make a new texture in white (256x256).
hope this helps.

Cheers

Ah yes indeed that helps , thanks stumpf :+1:

cool =)

Started on a default male head model that i could use a base.

I’ve always wanted to study anatomy so i could get propertions right and such , but never had the patience for it , so i’m gonna be happy if it looks human’ish

Not so happy about the ears yet though.

sorry about all the posts today , been a bit busy with Zbrush, luckily it’s all in one thread and not spamming the image row ;p
