Very cool work Nick! These models seem like a nice step up from the first game which is saying a lot. Congrats.

What the hell is this??? Amazing!

Wow! Great work man. Awesome & beautiful work.Bravo dude…:+1:

Great work man :sunglasses:

Wondeful!

Any chance you could isolate the meshes into individual .jpg images?

Big thank you for your support and encouragement. :+1:

majid_smiley: tahnks majid, those models are made by me but there are plenty more in the game of course,
we were 6 in the team ( Michel Thibaut (lead) , Laurent Sauvage, Ian Ladouceur, Alexandre troufanov , Yannick Cloutier and myself).

KonginChains: no these images are not real-time rendering, i used Mental Ray to lit them up.

~mindrot~: this is the actual in-game textures but there are at twice the resolution

dagoned: yeah that’s right, it’s been a bit more than a year now

Frenchy Pilou: looks like so  thanks man

KillahPriest: the polycount are btw 4000 and 6000 tris by characters.

Bravo, really this is great art here my friend! I am amazed by the ammount of work you did on this project. To me it feels like you started at Ubi few months ago! :grimacing:
Thank you for sharing the wireframes, this is really nice to have a look at behind the scene! Amazing work once again! Congratulations!!!

Been playing the game all weekend, love it, great models

AMAZING!

this is really great modelling! And awesome use of maps to create the cinematic feel for the characters! … just wow!

I have a question tho, the meshes seem to have an awefull lot of tris, and the mesh is obviously not triangulated. these tris might just “look” like tris and be very deformed/Impossible quads, but I think not.

How is this looked upon in a big game production like this? is it due to the fact that you don’t smooth meshes? (I guess you don’t in games) i am very curious, because our instructors keep bashing us for tris in meshes, talking about all kinds of issues with rendering/Animation/Deformation and the list goes on. So I am curious to know if this is a film/game difference or just something unique to your work flow and needs. Thanks for the answer in advance.

These look great!, I love your use of alphas/transparency to really push the delicateness of some of the clothing, and create a much stronger silhouette.

Can’t wait until game comes out for PC!

Oops I only saw your post just now… hey very very nice work, as usual Nicolas =))
Eager to see more in AC3 :+1:
