My VMEM folder is corrupted...ZB won't open! HELP!!!

I wonder if anyone out there can help me.

All of a sudden, Zbrush no longer opens on my PC.
I get a message saying that the VMEM file or folder is corrupted.
I’ve tried to run chkdsk utility, but it han’t done anything.
I tried system restore. No go.
I tried copying the VMEM folder from my zbrush from work, and pasting it over the corrupted one at home. It didn’t fix the problem.
I can’t even open the VMEM file or delete it.
This ain’t cool!!!
I’m trying to get a portfolio set up and I absolutely need ZBrush.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on fixing this problem?

Thanks in advance.

You should be posting this in the Tech forums.

A couple of things to try:

Defragment the hard disk. It may or may not help. Under your computers properties, advanced tab, performance section you should have a settings button for performance options and under that an Advanced tab. This in turn will have a control for Virtually memory. Turn off by unchecking "Automatic manage paging file . . ." and select a custom size that is the same what is showing as "Recommended" in the window. Reboot.

(This should recreate your paging file) Try ZB then. If it’s OK, then work as normal. Otherwise go back, and reselect “Automatic manage . . . .” Reboot.

If all else fails, uninstall Zbrush, delete any remaining "Pixologic" folder from your Programs folder, reinstall Zbrush and recover license. (May have to call Pixologic for this.)
