My tools are all low poly

Hey there, I’m pretty new to Zbrush and I’ve run into a very noob problem. Basically any tool I “draw” into the view (like a dog or human, even a random sphere) turns up low poly. It didn’t bug me before but I noticed while doing the tutorials on the website, their tools have a lot more verticies/polys than mine.

Is there a way to increase this? I tried looking for the option but it’s nowhere. I apologize for the noob question but it’s a bit frustrating.

EDIT: Sorry figured out the reason! Found out by clicking Geometry on the right panel and clicking on the Divide button! Silly me.

also dynamesh and zremesher are ways to increase or decrease resolution. they both retopologize while divide only divides the current topology.
