My Sculpt Inflates upon import of Unwrapped LowPoly Mesh.

Excuse me if this has been covered, a search on the topic got me no where. And I didn’t find this problem in any related treads.

After unwrapping my lowest subdiv level in Headus, I imported it back into Zbrush. It did import with out exploding, instead I had a different side effect. All my detail inflates, seemingly ballooning the sculptural detail slightly.

So basically I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong here, and if there’s a fix. I also thought it might be worth mentinoing that upon importing the unwrapped lowpoly mesh is much smaller than my high poly mesh. any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ok I found a fix.

First-Don’t try to fix up your lowpoly mesh in any way. Even if you have the same vert count, and poly count. I found that the mesh still explodes. Now there might be a work around for this I’m not aware of, so if you know of it, please post you’re findings. Cause it would be very helpful for me.

Second-Once unwrapping using Headus, I would import back into Zbrush, and it would be scaled down quite a bit in comparison to my highpoly mesh. This is what was causing the inflated mesh issue I was having. All you need to do is scale your high poly down to around the size your lowpoly is when you bring it in. This solved the problem for me.

That’s about it. Feel free to post any findings you all have.
