My new tablet and a test image using it :)

Today being my birsthday, my parents got me a Wacom Graphire 2 Tablet. Ive been trying it out and I LOVE it!

I decided to make a new image using it. This is jsut a test iamge that I may finish if I can get his teeth to look right. I just love the tablet and its so easy to model and texture using it.
by the way: dont laugh cause this is the first image i have done in like a month.
PS: Its a quicky as well…i tried out some new lighting techniques tho…thanks mentat although ur lighting is still far superior to mine
Heres the image.

That’s real cool, LWTB…The tablet is a trip is it not?

:+1: :+1: :+1: :sunglasses:

LWTB,

That’s a great orc head! Very cool.

Real nice one! and hope you had a Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Tyler! Good work on this one, even for a quicky. Yes, I think some nice drippy fangs would do him very well.

Good work !! I like more this image!!! Well !

Nice one, I too have found my inner joy in tablets.
:+1: :+1:

A quickie?! Well looks like I need to get out the tablet soon. Nice modeling, and the lighting is very nice. I like! :+1: :+1:

That’s very cool looking LW! Maybe a few teeth and I think we have a winner!

Nice one, LWTB - and happy birthday. You’re obviously having fun with your new present! :+1:

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I was working on some test teeth (just messing around)
and whenever i render, i get a screwy result.
i always have this problem with teeth…the top ones always are too dark because of the lighting i choose. and with the orange light i put in they became orange…could anyone help me on teeth placement plz?

The teeth look pretty cool to me. What material did you use? We may be able to change it or tweak it.

i used BasicMaterial2.

i think im just gonna redo the teeth all together because when i modeled them, i had messed up the Transform Modifier Graph. Now that the document is reloaded, the graph is fixed so now i can better model the teeth. Plus im gonna try a different method. ill probably have the teeth finished by tomorrow so ill post em then

PS: if i place a point light in the mouth of the model, it illuminates the top teeth better. i just have to adjust the intensity so that it doesnt shadows and things that shouldnt be there.

Well, i decided to jump the gun and i got to work on the teeth tonight. Tell me what ya think of 'is new chompers!

I forgot to save the head//jaw models (the head is 2 pieces) :frowning: i wish i did cause i had lots of fun doing this model. gotta love pressure sensitive tablet/pen!

Sweet.

(Note to self : Gotta get my tablet working in OSX Classic. Tonight I think…)
