Reconstruct subdiv will only work if you have UVs enabled in the Tool:Texture submenu. You don’t need to have assigned any UV mapping, simply to have pressed the EnableUV button.
thanks a lot marcus, works perfectly.
can you kindly explain me, if you know it, the precise use and workflow for pmulti button in projection tool?
thanks again
PS undocumented feature: whats the use for the tiny little “x” on upper right corner?
good to know.
well here are my quirks and or still missing features. i already mentioned them in the other thread but i think its better to have a clean thread.
easy way to give different subtools different materials and the ability to give them textures.
zbrush still doesnt “remember” the last folder you used. it always starts in the standard zbrush 3 folder.
mouse input average count does not work when rotating the object anymore
I’m afraid I don’t know. I will try to find out but it may be that it is yet to be implemented.
For 1. : I am planning on releasing a subtools plugin which will address many of the issues associated with managing subtools.
For 2. : It will use the last folder for some operations if ‘Use ZFolders’ is switched off in Preferences:Misc. I agree that this is not ideal.
for 1: good to hear.
for 2: ‘Use ZFolders’ is off and it never uses the last used folder.
----edit------
about Zfolders, i use a little silly workaround for that, just put a shortcut to your work folders in zb default folder and you’re there with just a double click…
marcus: i suspect that pmulti button should retopo a multiple subtools structure, but can’t get to work yet… aurick please speak!!!
PS retopo may haven’t new features in 3.1, but i noticed that retopo works better than 3.0 did…
heh, gattomanzo…I do the same with my shortcuts
That may be silly but I just like to ask if enyone else getting problem with “snake hook” brush? Before it works perfectly - now, if I am trying do some spiral thing, I am getting something like on the screen HERE.
Any ideas or is just bug?
[edit] - I guess its just when object doesnt have enough poly - thats it. LOL - sorry for that - stupid me
that’s awesome! i am looking fwd to that plugin… great contribution marcus!
be keen to see what you can come up with marcus. i don’t know how much you can get away with using zscripting but my immediate wishlist would look like :
ability to link layers for general sculpting and operations such as transpose
ability to propagate the hide show functionality ( Ctrl + Shift ) across all subtools. that’s a terribly annoying hit to workflow that that’s not possible
all saving defaults to the same file / root subtool name. etc
