My first zbrush thread !!!!! Critique plz !!

Not really a fan of that ship…why are tubes and engines intersecting with other objects? It would be cool to design a ship then use a few insert brushes to add some fine detail…right now it looks like its all insert brushes which I dislike.

I understand, what you are saying, however this was just to play around with the insert brushes and get a feel for them. Nothing too serous, otherwise I would more time thinking about design and adding allot more of my own details and less brushes. Thanks for the feed back however…

Anyways I have been using zbrush allot for school I guess I could post that stuff and go though my files. I just haven;t had allot of tim during the semester. But now that i do I will post the piece that I I’ve been working on tonight. It’s still just a wip but, eventually I want to make it a game rez model. New Zclassroom videos here I come !!!

Hey that’s a great sculpt. Some of the muscles feel perhaps a bit overdone, but it definitely contributes to the weird and interesting character of the creature. Love the work, keep it up.

Here an update on my project, I’m sorry it’s been sooooo long since I’ve posted an update.

Anyways I sculpted the creature in zbrush b, retopoized and baked in topogun, finally bring him into maya for rendering in mental ray.
Final poly count 3800 Tris for the creature model. My goal was to practice making game models, I think I succeed? While the jury is out on that still I guess.

For a while now I’ve had the urge to make a solid male human model fantasy character. Especially since, I’ve hardly done any people in zbrush and none successively I might add. So heres what I got so far, and still got allot of work to do…Clothes…hair…etc.

Yeah so, I’ve done more work on his face, yay !

I like all of your dinosaurs and the owl one especially, for the humans, try using references to set the proportions before detailing it. Look at the silhouette of the face from the side and front as well as the body, maybe change the material to the outline with a black color so that you can focus on the silhouette of things.

Quick Update of my fantasy character.

Hers my new project , for my game art class. My instructor give us a theme to do by using a random game generator and I got Spelunking though time. I had to research spelunkers and what spelunkers usually wear and all that jazz, it was than I thought won’t be fun to give my spelunker a time traveling backpack !!! So anyways here’s the work I have done so far (and Oh I actually haven’t sculpted the backpack yet. It’s still to come in the near future):

This is a piece I’m doing for my senior project at college, in which I’m making a game in unity. It going to be set in a alien jungle where you play as one of the alien creatures that live their. I’m not going into specifics at the moment so I’m sorry for being short.

Anyways, crits are welcome.

Here is the main character that the player while be playing as. This game will be in third person so will be able to see the model as your playing. So keep that in mind with critiques.
