ZBrushCentral

My first work in Zbrush.

I am trying to create Leonel Messi inside Zbrush. I am satisfied with the result i got as a Newbie to Zbrush. I know it is far from good. I want to improve my sculpt. So please suggest me the improvements.

Modeled in Zbrush and Rendered in 3Ds Max and VRay.

Thank you.

Please suggest me how i could improve my sculpt.

It appears that you sculpted this while in an isometric view. The face is too small on the head.

reference this image or find images that have a low focal length.
The ear shape is way off. The lips aren’t wide enough. His fall about the middle of his eye.
Your nose bridge is too broad and has a very soft gradient falloff. The tip of his nose also has angles from the cartilage that your sculpt does not.
The texture is also way off. I don’t see the markings and freckles on his face that you have on your sculpt.

my 2 cents.

Off to a good start for the first sculpt, but I agree with beta_channel.
Your proportions are very off. You need more reference.
Another trick is to turn your reference upside down and sculpt upside down. You will fool your brain into creating shapes rather than trying to create a face. You are sculpting what you think you see, rather than what you see.

Oh yeah, I forgot to actually say this is a great start. Not trying to be a total dick.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much. I will take your suggestions in and will try to improve my sculpt. You are right, I sculpted in isometric view. So i had no choice but to render in isometric view (FOV = .1 in 3ds Max). Now i am going to Re Sculpt this in perspective view. Thank you all for your help.

beta_channel , I was trying to create realistic texture from Photographic reference. But nothing made it look like skin. So i added in more freckles and moles randomly over the skin texture. I thing that is why i end up having more freckles than Messi actualy has.
Thank you for the help sir.
