my first real attempt, but there is a problem.

I started this model with a Sphere3D
Its my first real attempt at a head. How do i fix the feature in the middle of the nose? The mesh seems to collapse at this location. I suppose it could be the top of the original sphere.
I’ve tried different brushes , but i cant seem to fix this .

Id suggest using dynamesh if you have zbrush 4r2 or up,… if not remesh it, then project…this will give you a new mesh an new topology…good luck

The Sphere3d doesn’t really have good topology for making a head. The problem is the faces all merge into a single vertice (point) at the front and back. This wouldn’t be as bad if those points were on the top and bottom where you won’t really have any features on your model, unlike the front where your nose, eyes, mouth, etc. is.

When you make the sphere3d a polymesh for sculpting it uses the same topology. One option is to dynamesh the sphere3d. Another option is to start with the polysphere in your lightbox tools section. The polysphere has better topology to start a head sculpt on, the dynamesh should give similar results.

Since you’ve already started on the sculpt you can dynamesh your current model. Or you can start over with a polysphere.

Ive decided to start over with a polysphere. I plan on modelling a dozen skulls or so. I’m trying to learn the anatomy. So, I wasnt dedicated to this particular model.

Thanks for the help.
