The helmet needs to be wider as well, and the outer shell overall needs to be more offset from the head. These helmets are really big.

If you want to put more detail into your nomex gloves, check the image at http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/combatgloves/images/wgfgs.jpg . These are the gloves that US military aviators wear.
The nylon straps on the ALSE Vest are actually very thick and rigid, and do not conform to the body as depicted. After wearing this thing for 6-8 hours a day, you tend to notice this.
Most aviation boots also have a heel stiffener; that is, an additional layer of leather over the heel, with stitches running near the seam.

very nice work, I agree with the ass and crotch comment that it could use a little more work. I also find that some of your wrinkles seem a little lumpy. That being said, I think you are doing a great job, keep it coming;)
