work…work …work!!
hi Mc-Fleury,
Zbrush has a few alphas included in the alpha palette that are good for pores. You can also find a good skin texture and load it into texture palette and hit the make alpha button in that palette and it will create a skin alpha of that texture for you. You now have a ton of ways to alter that alpha thru the alpha and draw palettes.
I highly recommend going thru the Practical Guide. The link is in my signature below near the bottom.
good luck and have fun experimenting!!
Also in the Challenges forum are two newbie challenges that include zscripts to help you get familiar with some Zbrush stuff…with more challenges coming soon!!!
Hey Mc,
I wouldn’t worry too much about quality right now. Just keep playing with it. heck i haven’t even tried a human body yet. Make sure that you have reference materials also to check on things like proportion. If you have any freehand art experience remember that the same principles that apply there will apply to your modeling and also your scenes. If you dont have any freehand figure drawing experience then pick up a book from the library dealing with human figure drawing and apply to your modeling. National Geographic is also an Excellent source of both inspirational material (for both freehand and modeling) and the occasional texture. Just practice, you are going to be fine And follow Aminuts advice which is the most important, the practical guide rocks.
