great work:)

Please fix the mouth, it goes against all the other awsome modelling, texturing and detailing you’ve done! - as an observer its very frustrating to see this exellent piece of work demoted to ordinary just because of a tiny little error.
If you have any problems finding the right solution I will be more then happy to help out.

Kircho

thanx for your replies

Kircho: can you explain me more what is so wrong with the mouth?

[edit]

Very nice modeling and lighting. The horns are especially cool…Great work…:+1:

maddam, go to this link and download the models :http://pixologic.com/download/demo_pc2.html
In the package will be the face of a man, its a VERY accurate recreation of a mans face in all anatomical respects. Compare this with your own efforts and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

In general however, the mouth is too flat - the junction where the skin of our face and the skin of the mouth meet is more sharpely defined - this junctions moves inwards towards the back of the head as one follows the lips towards the corners - ++

Something else I noticed alittle funny, if the face is relaxed, why are the muscles connecting the mouth to the cheeck bones and orbitals tensed? The volume that is produced as a result of this contraction should be more slight and sit more towards the mouth in a relaxed face. Again check the face in the link I’ve provided for re-assertion of my comments.

Kircho

Kircho: ok i see what you said about the mouth and i’m agree with you. i will try to correct it as soon as possible.

for your other comment “why are the muscles connecting the mouth to the cheeck bones and orbitals tensed” , it’s because i didn’t want to creat a realistic face but a “demon head” so i distort some part for artistic purpose.
it will maybe look better once i’ll clean the mouth.

It could be argued and is my point of view that art " Is the selective reacreation of reality", not its creation, for there is no such human action, even the varable z has no meaning unless it is referred to something in reality - an apple for instance. To any keen observer of the REAL, placed within a definite context, the breaking of causel relationships such as the one your positing is seemingly ’ imperfect’ and hence plain wrong(although some admire imperfection and others still worhsip animals :D).

My recommendation is, if you wish this character to have a natural ‘snarl’, to modify the skin tention and shape of the nose and mouth.

Kircho

ok, it’s my last update for this head.i corrected the mouth (thanx Kircho  )
this time i use Vray to render it and a bit of postprod in PS.
again, any coments are welcome Rendu_01.jpg

make the marks on hors in red collor or glowing they looked cool eriel and now you cant see them, and that was the part i liked the most

Maddam: I like how he is coming along. Beautiful eye work, and I notice how the reworking of the muscles around the mouth give him more character. A sense of purpose and detrimination. Great stuff…

Dickie

awesome work man, really awesome, love the eyes

maddam, now I can say, with great satisfaction, this is some exellent modelling and character work! All the changes you made are very fitting, the white skin, eyes, mouth, muscles between mouth and orbitals, the jaw muscle and all the other logical clarifications of form that came from these changes!

But, there is potentional for this model to be even bad-err! :
BadtotheBone.jpg
This is a 10 minute workover of your model in Zbrush(Zbrush is exellent at 2d morphing of images, also). Amongst all the changes I’ve made the most important is an increase of spacing between the eye’s.( I know, you said your done with it, but I don’t believe there exists such a state-of-progress for an artist  )

Welldone,
Kircho
