My claytube brush is strange?????

hi i am new in zbrush and i am french.
I started my first sculpt with the claytube brush and i have a strange effect (left image), for erase this effect, i have to set up some parameter like roll dist and focal (right image) but i think it’s not normal to do this. It is hard to find topic for my problem and it"s seem have no solution.

My config: i have windows7 x64, GTX280, Quad Q9800 2.5Ghz, 4Go ram, an bamboo tablet , a logitech wireless mouse and all drivers is update.

yes, that is the standard setting of the claytubes brush. it mainly comes from the square alpha it uses. so, you can try to turn off the alpha, and you get behaviour more like the right image. thats what i do anyway…
