My 3rd head attempt.

This is my 3rd head in ZBrush. I’ve only had it about 3 weeks and most of that time I’ve been watching tutorials. My first 2 heads looked more human but a lot more blobby! This was supposed to be a man but something happened. I found out that ZBrush works like I draw. I start out in one direction but end up somewhere else. FishMan.jpg

Nice first attempt. Just wait and see how much you improve as you start to get a feel for settings/hotkeys/tricks, etc. One of the amnazing things about Zbrush {and there are many}, is that your style comes through into the virtual realm. I’ve been a sculptor in clay for years, and the first stab at Zbrush, it was obviously something made by me. Anyways, stay close to the forum, and don’t be discouraged if nobody responds to your future posts, it doesn’t mean anything. Again, welcome…

Yeah, well said jbakutis, you summed up Zbrush very nicely there! I’m still learning myself, but early on it was apparent that anything I could or had done in the real world could be done in Zbrush, even better in some cases, and ALWAYS faster! People I know even recognised it as my work, which amazed me.

Nice work for only 3 weeks into Zbrush, WBMiller :+1: I’ve been hooked on Zbrush for 5 or 6 weeks now

Thank you for your supportive comments. I know this is a large forum and not everyone has time to respond to every thread. So thanks again. Here is another head. The next day’s work looks a bit more human. ManHead.jpg :+1:

wooot this ur head thread? nice! keep them coming !

Thanks for the new title. Here is a character from the Edgar Rice Burroughs Mars books. I’ve always wanted to model him and with Zbrush I can make a start. Tars Tarkas. Twelve feet tall with 2 sets of arms. I may be a while figuring this one out.
