My 3D Sketching Stuff (nudity)

Thank you, I appreciate all the comments! I’ll see what I can do about doing a full a tutorial, but that could be a while before I get back to this. I have a few illustrations that need to be taken care of first.

Tried to mess around last night with shadowbox and do a wheel rim, but I ended up using a cylinder, hiding some polys, and using the Store Morph Target/Inflate/CreateDiff to add some thickness.

Now I need a car to put it on…

Look really, really goood!!!:+1:
and now …the tips:D

:+1: :+1: nice work nice to see Z going more none organic after all these years too many monsters start too look the same !!! :+1: :+1:

Sure thing, andreseloy

I did a quick video below of the process I used to create the rim.

I used the circle (my first post said cylinder by mistake) tool to start and hid and deleted some polys. The shaped it into the rim, stored a morph target, inflated, and hit the CreateDiff button to create the model with thickness. After a bit of refining and creasing edges, the base shape of the rim was done. That technique has been around since ZBrush 2, I believe, but it’s still very useful.

For a long time now I’ve been wanting come up with an illustrative style which has the depth of 3D, but has the vibrance and whimsical feeling of hand painted illustrations. Such a style would lend itself very well for the subject matter I usually deal with.

This is the first study involved with this look using a previously sculpted figure. I feel like this could be a nice look for my art in the future.

Rendered with 1 pass in ZBrush with a little postwork in Photoshop.

I really like the illustrativestyle you managed to give it :+1:
A little walkthrough would be great!

rad! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

What a cool style. She looks like she could be in a Zelda game.

beautiful work throughout, cant wait to see more!

Beautiful illustration, great result indeed, very impressive on top of beautiful.

brilliant job on the wicked witch, I’d also love to hear more on your process. keep up your excellent visual exploration!

Thanks guys! Here’s a comparison of the base rendering (on left) and the finished image (on right). I started out with a material I created to get that initial soft shaded, but gritty and outlined look of a hand painted storybook illustration, then overlaid some subtle textures overtop to enhance the look. Then did a little dodging here and there to play with the lighting a bit more.

Too bad this rusted iron won’t work at all into ZB4 :\

Here’s a personal project I’ve been working on for the last couple days. Still lots to do. Need to work on some more asymmetry on the face, and my folds need some work too among other things.

Congratulation! I like very much:+1:

definitely looking forward to seeing it develop. the face is already very lively.
great expression.

Update on the Nun…

Here’s a test render in ZBrush with some cloth details and materials. Gotta fix her eyes, add some skin color variations and give her some robes.

Have a great new year!

Love it, but the eyes are a little too far back.
