This one is 3 render passes comped in PS. One for each light - right front, right back and left back lights.
O/MI - Yeah, the SSS is a bit strong. Still working on the skin material.
Chris Spade - At some point I’ll try to put together an overview of the lighting and materials setup I used for her. But between this recent render and the one before it, I added another right rear backlight which adds a bit more depth.
lm - The Wizard of Oz is a movie I’ve watched regularly since I was a kid. Always thought the witch was one of the coolest villians ever. Margaret Hamilton was the perfect choice for the role.
nerveink - Yep, once finished with the face and hands then it’s on to the final rendering stages.
Been playing around at work testing some simple rendering settings, noise settings and materials. Rendering out a few older models I created with the BPR. Here’s one of them.
Single light setup with the my Reddish Bronze mat, though it’s looking more like a polished wood right now. The Zbrush renderer keeps surprising me…

Here’s the final image for the Wicked Witch. I know there’s some issues still lingering in a few places, but I’ve got some other projects waiting which need to be done. So she’s pretty much done.
Rendered in ZBrush with multiple passes and comped in Photoshop with some color correction and a little bit of overpainting (hair, DOF, and color dodging and correcting here and there.)
I’ll post a pic of the render passes at some point.

Been watching this project with all due interest. I have to agree; when time allows you need to make this project into a tutorial. I know how much effort that it takes to do just that, but… when you’ve got a little play time again it would be welcomed by many.
