My 3D Sketching Stuff (nudity)

I missed a few updates here.
Great new works! I love the bear! Is this a Zbrush render?

Amazing 3D sketches. it’s an art really i wish i could do something like that…

Really good work Kraken, well done.

But I have a small question about your bear bust . How did you sculpt the fur? Is this a specific fur alpha/brush? or a fully-sculpted texture? The render is awesome, very realistic. Actually, i’m trying to reach this quality of render but it’s really difficult !
I’m sculpting a sort of bear, a Pandaren, from Sam Wise concept arts, and i will need nice-looking fur !

Considering you took 2 hours, it may be an alpha, but when i’m looking closer, it seems to be sculpted !

By the way, your shader is perfect. Maybe you could tell us more about your shader creation process, obviously if you have the time to

Many thanks for your post. Hope you will save me

Moni-Poroni, thank you! Yes it’s a ZBrush render with a little blurring and a little brightening in Photoshop.

Sycron, thanks! The fur was created with a custom alpha I created and used with a scatterbrush. It needed to be applied quickly as I can’t spend too much time per product on design. The shader on the bear is part of a set of materials I’m creating which I will release soon - a couple of which are shown on the items below.

Here’s a couple more product designs I created for work, but these were rejected designs so I can show them. They are supposed to be Zeus and Poseidon bird houses. Both rendered in ZBrush.

Just can’t wait to see your materials !

Thanks fo your reply, your Zeus and Poseidon busts are awesome, lovin’ it !

These next few concepts were for a fairy birdhouse line for work. The fairy with the flute eventually changed into one which holds a marble
and has sculpted wings instead of metal because it would be easier and cheaper for the factory to make. Some of the anatomy needs work,
but I only had 2 days to work on these from concept to rendering. Hope you like!

Concepts modeled and rendered in ZBrush.

Great to see some new from you, inspiring as always

I really love them .

Simple and efficient

Great work done

Oh man… Those Greek god heads would have been the coolest bird houses ever! What company do you work for?

Awesome work! Love the designs + 2 days?! Unreal. Multi-pass out of z?
:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Scrybe, I work for a company called Red Carpet Studios. A relatively small giftware company.

Super Glitcher, the first Zeus birdhouse was multipass, but the other one and the fairies were single pass.

Here’s a revised dragon to the one I created years ago. Kinda rushed through the detailing a bit. I’ll be throwing some more color and adding a bit of texture on it in Photoshop as well.

Rendered in ZBrush.

What a beautiful thread. I like it very much.

Plz show how you achieved the proper fur fell on bear!

top jobs, congrats mate.

Man, thats ATTITUDE! Nice one. :+1: :+1:
having say that, the head should be more defined, at the moment, my eyes are drawn to the hand. The hand could show more weight by lying on the leg more instead of barely touching.

The most amount of attitude i ever see in a dragon though(not that i ever see one around these days, ha).

Best dragon head I’ve seen in a long while.

What a noble dragon! Great work as usual! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thanks for the crits everyone!

Giri_Babu, I used a custom scatterbrush that I created to brush on the fur texture.

GX@W, I thought so about the arm as well. I rested it more on the leg in this pic.

I started adding some color to it now and a little better lighting to bring out details. Still a lot more to do. I need to add more detail in the wings and tail section as well. Prolly paint some type of background for him besides the blue gradient that’s there now. I can’t wait for ZB4 so I can test it out with the newer rendering system with this guy!

Really nice job. One thing that doesnt sit well is his almost human like arm and shoulder this isnt helped by the human pose that it is doing. The top half of his body almost feels like a human in a costume. Just my two cents really hope it helps keep up the good work.
