Mutte's sketchbook

Your character looks good to me. you could push the detail a little more, but not to much though. Will you be texturing this character??

all i can say is WOW! :sunglasses:

such a good sketchbook you have here! and a great variety in subject matter. Fantastic!

Holy cow, your latest creature really looks fantastic Maarten!

Hey that is very nice. Are you working from that 4’ (approx) resin sculpt that was released a while back? It just that it is in the same sort of pose is why I ask.

sculpt on… M.

Oh my, the Kothoga creature is amazing

hey guys thanks again for the kothoga replies, here’s something I’ve sculpted a few evenings ago, hope you like this speedsculpt. nothing real special…

sculpt on guys, keep pushing those pixols…

Whoa there, fantastic work, I really dig the skull in the last one.

Can you share any of your matcaps? Please!

holy… wow :o amazing work. How long was this speed sculpt? Amazing, even more so that it is a speed sculpt. Great work.

great works here ! love that beast !

Excellent model once again…really cool looking with this pose!

Another great model! I love the way you did his belly. The hands are looking great, too! Nice pose! And his face/mimic is very cool – I like it! Im a little bit sad that its not a full-body model but you can`t have everything. Anyways, great job!

Awesome sculpt man! Great anatomy / head. This your concept ? Speedsculpt heaven - prob one of my favs - together with the Death Tank! You Rock!!!

–E-- thanks, It’s a comp from different Mcaps in photoshop, tweaking the colors, nothing special.
Aberrant - Thank you, It took arround 5.5 - 6.5 hours of real sculpting, 2 nights. (for me it’s a speedsculpt my biggest pieces I’ve got 10 - 20 hours, I guess) starting from some basemeshes I can pull off my shelf, to speed up the sculpt, and I’m not counting the time I used to create the concept, all in my head I don’t use paper any more… it takes to much time.
majid_smiley - always nice to hear your opinion. thanks!!!
SolidSnakexxx - thanks dude, happy you like it.
Moni-Poroni - hey Moni, I think the next piece will also be a half-body/bust but I promise it will be something very different.
Etcher - thank you Geert, just saw your update in your sketchbook, I hope to see some new stuff of you soon, and yes this is my own concept, glad you like it. The deathtank concepts will be updated soon…

sculpt on… M

I asked some advice to tune up my portfolio, you will know him, I guess? a test-sculpt to print for a collectible statue. I keep pushing my pixols and will be looking around for a job soon.

mastercomp%20copy
and a revisit to an older sculpt with a better render, a lot of you guys liked him so that’s why I brought it back and gave him a second chance.

Very nice mutte! Good luck on the job search. Ill be doing that after this month as well.

Great sculpt

Wow, excellent sculpt. Daniel Day-Lewis really brought that character to life.:+1:

Dude …Bill the BUTCHER!! I think our ideas are a 100% similar and our execution…not really but hey;)
One thing one my to-do list is to do a portret of Daniel Day-Lewis in the rol of Bill Cuttingham…cause he’s the best actor I’ve seen playing the coolest character ever…nice

you did an awesome job on him I hope i can say the same about my version in the future
