Mutant Monster Head

Good afternoon,
here’s a head modeling i just finished.
Special thanks to Antropus, because I used his skin wrinkles alphas, lighting and material, you saved me a couple of hours here! :slight_smile:

I started the model from a zsphere with eye sockets, nose, mouth, ears, and I did all the modeling in zbrush. Got a 400 000 poly count and all the smalls details are bump maps.

I found it a bit hard to balance the amount of details, you can had so much in zbrush, it’s hard to stop!

Anyways, question and comments more than welcome as usual!
Textured version coming soon…maybe with eyes…

Here it is done in maya, with SSS fast shader… hmm…I’m not sure if i like it as much as the previous version done in zbrush…what do you guys think?

Man I want a displacement painter. But for now … I’m pinching pennies.

So here’s the textured version…
Next challenge is adding eyes and bring it in maya to test render, maybe I’ll add some small hairs here and there too…I’ll see…

This is looking really good. Did you do these renders in ZBrush? This is the kind of render set-up I have been trying to achieve in ZBrush. Can’t wait to see the peepers added in. Keep going!

Like I said earlier, I used his lights, material and alphas to get started.

lemonnado: hehe, yeah, this guy prefer to use an axe to shave.
Astro-nuts took 8 months full time to do, from story coception to final edit!

Very good. I like it a lot.
One thing I think You didnt make real is scares , like for me are too soft , too smudge… but everything is great , very nice head model.
I ll be waiting for rest of body :cool:

edit: maybe the texture at the chin looks a bit blurred? I often realize that I am missing polys there, when starting with a zsphere head…
