Mursi Portrait

I was fascinated by the Mursi tribe so I decided to do a 3D character based on them.

The skin was done in Mudbox using texturing xyz maps for the displacement and a combination of cross polarized textures and hand painting for the base color. All the assets were modeled in Maya, sculpted in Zbrush, and textured in Substance Painter. Final render in Arnold 5 for Maya.
