WHoa! Fantastic! I love lienil Yu’s Wolverine/Hulk work, you totally captured it down to a T as in TOP ROW!
nassosa - thanks! yeah that’s the plan. Once I have everything built, I’ll start posing and rendering.
dtran - thank you! I’m glad you’re digging it.
Another small update: more beads, plates and some cloth work. Also scaled up his head. Probably should go even bigger.
Wow, thank you for making your Hulk different. I was getting tired of looking at his purple pants.
Wonderful! I love to see your worksmall_orange_diamond
fantastic work! I really like the different approach you have taken with the Hulk
very nice i feel that the anatomy on the biceps could be improved on both your 2 latest models. It feels a bit like 2 tubes next to each other (biceps and brachiali) when in reality the shape isnt so rectangular.
hard to explain

keep up the good work.
also: what is the green material you are using? i would like to test it on one of my models if thats possible
Tyrone70 - haha yeah, I loved Leinil Yu’s take on the Hulk. I guess I was tired of the pants as well.
kinma - thank you!
Capital G - thanks a lot!
StefanH - thanks! I see what you mean about the bicep. Still working on getting it right so hopefully it will look good in the end. The matcap is just a sculpy material with some of the red taken out with green polypaint.
I’m still working on finishing the pose on both these guys but I thought I would do a render of the stuff I’m happy with so far for the Robot Blog. This is sort of a shot of the events leading up to the disassembling of Logan. The cigar is photoshopped in along with some little hair details. These poses are inspired by this and this, both of which were done by Leinil Yu.
Hope you guys dig it!

Duuuuddde… This is frigging awesome! I love the way you use Zbrush renders and enhance them with PS. The final is going to feature the green goliath tearing Wolvie in two pieces though right?
Dang! These guys are looking amazing Chris! Really beautiful stuff. Super clean.
very cool dude love how clean it looks …all your works have this feel
would dig to read a comic like this - - your studio looks cool as well
Later
Very polished work!
Your sculpts are sssooooooo GOOD! I really like the detail of Medusa and also how you sculpted Wolverine, you captured the style of the comic book artist! You should get top row for your work! small_orange_diamond
And you are nice enough to share your workflow! May I ask, do you use a retopology program? Because when I sculpt in zbrush and then have to retopo, the program drives me nuts.
what they said! great work =)
nice you works ,sweat as Usual Chris
khalavi - thanks bro! yes the final will be like the drawing where wolvie gets ripped in half
pointpusher - thanks man! glad you like
FOOD - Thanks Furio, it would be fun to make a comic using zsculpts… hmmm
webhead - thanks!
verde - Thanks so much! I have yet to retopo a model but I probably would be able to get more detail out of my mesh.
invertedNormal - thanks!
3mm - thank you!
Haven’t been on here in a while so sorry for the late responses guys!
Last summer I had the privilege of working with Randy Bowen on my first Bowen Designs statue. It was a lot of work but well worth it. I was happy with how it turned out and will be even happier once I have a copy of it. The first image is a turnaround of the final approved sculpt, art directed by the man himself, Randy Bowen. The second image is a render from zbrush with glow and smoke fx added in photoshop. I’ll post more pics once I have a copy of the statue. Hope you guys dig it!

Wow. That looks great. I hope they make a super hero CG Movie with these types of characters. Would be epic. Post more!
