Here’s a demo of an approach I took with the multi-marker tool.

Feel free to use the resulting object for whatever you want.

fantastic. Winged One
Is it possible to play the script slowly to follow it better?
T
Very instructive script WingedOne, especially your method of positioning the parts, most logical.
Thelonious, in the Zscript:Modifiers change the Replay Delay default from 0 to slow the script down.
Hey WingedOne, This is an EXCELENT example of the power of multi-markers!! Everyone should download this script and play it! There should be a multi-markers script included with every version of ZBrush. (this would cure the “My-object-is-stuck-on-the-canvas-newbie-blues”)
To tell the truth I’m a late-bloomer to Multi-markers, and I’m just blown away by them! This is such a huge-unsung tool in the ZBrush development!!
One question I do have is when I saved the tool as an OBJ.file, this set of primatives came to a 7meg file!, (with a 3 meg bmp), and took 5 minutes to save/convert. Did you have a high polycount when you made the primatives WingedOne?
Hey you should try Digits Widgets script. The Position Marks is pretty cool.
Catch ya.
PS. Are you an angel? (WingedOne)
If your going to save it as an .OBJ file, try optimizing it a bit in the deform pallette and turn the texture off if you want to get rid of the texture, or if you need the texture, make the texture a lower resolution in the texture pallette. The polycount for me came to about 70,000 when I converted it to a polymesh.
Thanks WingedOne! I had fun with this one!
Truly awesome script, WingedOne! Fantastic education!
Hi pinky,
First load up the Zscripts in ZBrush titled “ZScriptRecordedSession01, ZScriptRecordedSession02, etc…” and watch how Pixolator does it.
When editing your object, don’t select another object from your tool pallette or the object your editing will be stamped on the canvas. You can model your object using the different buttons in the transform pallette after clicking on the button that has the square with the little red dot on the upper right hand corner (the one that represents a vertex being moved).
I just came back across this thread…try Winged Ones script on this…outstanding eyeopener…and tutorial…thnx WO…
Thank You WingedOne.
Interesting method and beatiful object.

Thank you for posting your educational multimarker reel. Unfortunately, I was only able to catch some “how to set it up and how to use multimarker” because your reel is too fast for me and was not able to catch all button to button.

Hi Washington
In Menu Script
you can decrease the speed and enable “Show action”
Hope this help

Understand that Multiple Maker is a very power tool. But I am facing some problem with it now.
I have created a few objects with makers. Then, I clear the layer (Ctrl-N) to create all the object with Multi-maker for re-position the object.
Can I save the document and tool (Multi-Maker) for next time editing (re-position the object)? I tried this, but not successful. I couldn’t draw anything with the tool (multiMarker)that I saved. Seems like all my objects are disappear.
Please advise. Thnx.
