I have my model in Zbrush with 9 different subtools all sharing the same UV’s that I created previously in Maya. I am trying to create a displacement map for this model however whenever I use the multi map exporter and select ‘subtools’ and ‘merge maps’ it creates 7 different displacement maps instead of 1 map with all the subtools on it.
I make sure I only have ‘Displacement Map’ selected and nothing else yet when I click create maps a message pops up saying ‘Vector and standard displacement maps cannot be merged for exr format’, I click proceed and it takes me through to naming the maps and then goes ahead and creates 7 displacement maps. I don’t know why it pops up saying about the vector maps because I haven’t selected to create a vector map.
I successfully created a texture map from polypaint which merges all the subtools onto one map so I have not got a clue why it won’t merge the subtools for the displacement map. I cannot find anything on line regarding this issue.
