Hello All, wondering if anyone is able to successfully use multi append ZB 4 on a Mac. It’s not working for me at all. Am I missing something?
At what point does it fail?
IT works up until I hit open in the dialog box. The box closes and everything looks normal except that I have no new subtools on my model nor are the subtools imported. I’m trying to import OBJs. Should the files be zTools?
OBJ and/or ZTL it shouldn’t make any difference. Have you tried selecting a single file? It might be worth downloading SubTool Master again and re-installing (remove the previous version first by deleting the SubToolMaster_4_0Xx.zsc and the SubToolMasterData4 folder). And what version of Mac OS are you running?
Yes, I have tried loading a single file…no luck. I’m running 10.6.7. I think re-installing may help. I will try that later tonight and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help!
yep, still not working. I tried using some of the other functions, i.e. merge, export, and those worked fine. But still a no go on multi append.
OK, thanks.
Here’s a test file that may help narrow the problem. Please
- Unzip the file to your desktop.
- Launch ZBrush and in the ZScript palette press Load. Select the Test_MultiAppend.zsc file.
- Press ‘H’ on the keyboard to show the ZScript window at the bottom of the UI. There should be a ‘TestAppend’ button there.
- Press the ‘TestAppend’ button and select some files thru the dialog.
- Nothing will be loaded but a log file named 'Test_MultiAppend_log.txt" will be written to your desktop. Please attach that file to a reply in this thread.
Thanks,
Here you go
Thanks, that’s useful though nothing obviously wrong. In case this is a drive issue, can you try using SubTool Master Multi Append to load a file from a folder local to ZBrush?
Ah ha! You were right Sir! I loaded an asset from my desktop with no problem at all. I have been trying to load from my external HD previously. So does this mean I have to copy anything I want to add as a subtool to my desktop from now on?
I’m not aware that this is always a problem but it does seem to be the case here.
