you’ll need to export out a .obj of your Highpoly from Mudbox.
import that into Zbrush
then
tool>texture>(enable UV’s) - If they didn’t come in
tool>geometry>reconstruct lower
That should get you going.
There is a couple of other ways to do it as well, but this one will work until you get more comfortable with the interface and what-not.
Hope this helps
Thanks dude, it will work for sure
i just afraid that zbrush can hold that much polygons
so by this method zbrsuh should build lower resolution itself?
In mudbox i divided my mesh 6 times, but in zbrush with this method it gives me only 1 step, any other solution?
Export your lowest level from mudbox as a .obj. Export your highest level (level 6) as .obj. You may have to fiddle with setting, but probably not.
Import both into ZB. Make the hi-res a sub object of the low-res. Divide the low res to same level as the high res. Use the ProjectAll button on the subtools pallet. This should transfer your details to your now six-times sub-divided low-res mesh.
Out of curiousity, what does ZB say when it refuses to reconstruct subdiv from your high res. I have used the reconstruct subD method frequently to recover lower levels from a high res model.

Thanks Kerwin
now pixologic can give a medal for foolest user of zbrush ever!
that was because i press it one time!
know i press that 5 time and it works!

Hey
the problem comes up again, as in 3.5 there has been some changes in palettes, so what is the new way to do the first question
thanks
Same as before, export lowest and highest as .objs, use Project All to copy the details of the highest onto a subdivided version of the lowest level.
If the projection is coming out funky, try fiddling with the PA Dist and PA Blur setting to adjust.
If it still doesn’t behave. Start at level 1, do a project all just to align shapes, then go to level 2 and do a project all again. Repeat down the levels until you’re at your highest level. Sometimes, the sculpture (highest level) is so different than your base mesh (level 1) that you need to ease project all into it by walking it down the levels one at a time.

Thanks a lot Kerwin
is the other way still possible?
i mean:
“import that into Zbrush
then
tool>texture>(enable UV’s) - If they didn’t come in
tool>geometry>reconstruct lower”
because enable UV’s isn’t there anymore!
