MR border edges cannot be creased zbrush ?

Hi guys,

I have an issue with only one of my models…

i’m trying to export it via the new .ma export within Zbrush
but when i’m tryng to render it in maya 2010 with MR, the output box shows:
MayatoMr Final Sculpt border edges cannot be creased…
i have no idea of whats going on with that guy… it seems to be a conflict with subdv approximation because when i delete the displacement and the subd approximation from the model and leave only the diffuse and normal map renders are OK…

more info:
base mesh 10 000 Polys
hires: 1M polys
normal map 8k
diffuse map 8k
displacement map 8k…

and i would have another question if i may.
Is it possible to have a separate map for the body and the face while those 2 are part of the same mesh ? (he is going to be animated…)

I’m not too sure if you ever fixed the problem or if you ever found a solution.

I was just having the same problem and also searching for the answer.

What worked for me was to just export out the low model as a separate obj. I imported that obj into Maya and it worked fine.
