Moving zbrush model

I am wondering if I unwrap my model and normal map it with a zbrush model, then bring it back in zbrush and resculpt to a new position would I have to redo the unwrapping or can I just re-render a new normal map with the same unwrapping?

In other words what I am looking to do is animate or move my model frame by frame but sculpt each frame without the use of a rig to do so, just wondering if each time I change the model will I need to unwrap again. Cheers

If you are not actually altering the geometry (adding new edge loops, deleting faces etc.) you should not have to mess with your UV’s just recreate your normal map if you change any of the sculpting detail.

So as long as I dont add new points, the uvs will remain the same. Dont suppose the exporting of the geometry between max and zbrush effects the geometry (adding/taking away)?

PS Thanks for the answer pnoland

If you are just exporting and importing between the two applications your UV’s should be preserved in the OBJ file so you should be good to go.
