I’m working on a head sculpt. I want to do some detail around the eyes so I would like to change the pivot point so that, when I rotate the view, the camera rotates around the area I am working on. I can do this by (1) paint a small mask where I want the centre (2) Visibility - Hide Pt (3) Transform - Set Pivot Point.
Now when I rotate the view I am moving around the area I want.
However it seems that the whole subtool has been moved so that its origin is at the new pivot point. This has the side effect that my sub tool for the eyes is now in the wrong location relative to the main subtool for the head. The thing is: I need the eyes in the right place so that I can sculpt around them.
The only way I can see to work this is to move the eyes subtool when I move the face subtool’s pivot point. This is just so clunky! Is there a better way of doing this or is it just another ‘zbrush thing’?
