Moving radius?

I seem to remember in the zbrush 2 days that when you moved a section of mesh, with the move brush it was possible to reduce the radius on the fly. You could do this by moving the mesh section back and forth (holding down the lmb) and gradually, the mesh effected would get less and less.

Is this possible in zbrush 3?

Your post took me by surprise because I didn’t remember anything like that from Z2. So I launched it on my second computer to test. (I still keep a copy so that I can help out the Mac group until we can get everyone upgraded to Z3.)

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but your memory is wrong on this count. I moved the cursor back and forth about a dozen times. The area being affected never changed in the least.

I may be wrong alright but I’m almost sure it was zbrush. Maybe v1.5? I don’t have it anymore to test. Or maybe I dreamt it.

Well, that was over four years ago now and I’d have trouble remembering what I ate for yesterday’s breakfast if it wasn’t for the fact that I have the same thing every morning…

Honestly, I think you’re remembering the behavior of the Hook brush and superimposing that on the Move feature.

I don’t believe that was it. Either it was another program or I only thought it was happening. Oh well, it might be a cool feature anyway. Thanks.
