Hi
I’m new here and new to zbrush as well. I am working on one of Jason Welsh’s tutorials on modeling a character using zspheres. Al lis going well until I get to the part where he starts to move the mesh around using the tweak tool. From what I have learned from searching the forum the tweak tool is no longer in 3.1 but the move tool does the same thing. Not so with mine. I have tried different intensity and size settings but it is super hard to get it to actually grab and move anything. Some times it will move the mesh and the next piece I try to grab won’t move. Is there some setting I have missed or am I just being dumb and not using it right. I move the cursor over the mesh till I see a red square on the part I want to move then left click and drag. Sometimes it moves and most times it wont.

Odds are you either have something masked and you’re unaware of it, or you’re trying to move part of another subtool…assuming that tutorial deals with subtools, I haven’t looked at it.
Mask>Clear Mask.
Upon further research on the forum I found out that if I go under Picker and set the z to zero it works fine.
