Similiar to 3.0’s Tweak the Move brush seems to have a set range that it can pull the surface out, even with zintensity at 100 it only pulls out a small bit then locks at that range, how can i keep my brush size small so i grab a small area but still be able to pull it out very far as in 2.0s move?
I’ve changed the curve, intensity, focal shift, i’ve even made the brush as large as it goes and the surface still only moves the same amount.
For that technical modeling stuff you do space have you tried scaleing the model up some? Since its a curve driven brush if you unified the model i notice that it makes it small enough where the curve might not see the vertex. That worked with my pumpkin head.
But i agree I would rather have 3.0 tweek back this curve stuff gives me a headache
It is not exactly the same as the old ZB2 Move but you may find that this variant of the Snakehook is useful. Brush size and scale of model on the canvas will affect the result. Note that if you orient your model so that you can make a horizontal or vertical move, pressing Shift just after starting the stroke will constrain movement and effectively remove the ‘wobble’ that is a feature of the Snakehook.
HTH,
Here is the move brush Finally caught on tape.
No amount of curve tweaking setting or acts of god will make it go away
Canned, this was just experimenting to see how the brushes work now, so i’ve not tried it on anything techy yet. just a head and the polysphere.
Marcus, Thank you for the modded snakehook brush i actually had thought of trying the same as well but am not fond of its behaviour.
Canned, that move locking up is the most annoying thing isnt it?
Okay so i made a movie, inspired by canned, to illustrate what i mean, it seems there is a default radius that the surface will move out from, no matter the intesity, curve or brush size.
wow thats pretty good res on that space what did you make that with (the Gif)?
Camtasias gif was pathetic looking so I used adobe premiere to render mine.
Ya that move is sad low level poly editing is almost imposible unless you keep moving the model to different angles and constantly adjust your curves.
I just wanna be an artist !!!
Leave this science stuff up to the egg heads.
How many versions of zbrush does it take to screw in a lightbulb anyway
jason, i just used camtasias default gif settings, except i shrank it from 1024 to 640.
Also the polycount doesnt matter on what i’m showing, and moving the model wouldnt help either, nor does scaling, i do say that unifiying makes a very, very slight difference. what would work is if i could set the zintensity to about 400, thats the problem really.
So, does anyone have a solution for this? The mutated snakehook tool is a neat workaround, but it doesnt really have the same feel.
