Any Mac users about who’ve updated to Mountain Lion? If so, have you noticed any issues with the current version of ZBrush? Thought there may be some guinea pigs out there who could help me avoid an issue.
Thanks!

I’ll give it a try when I get home. I didn’t try it on my big machine but I have Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air. It was unusable on Lion due to the lag issue so I’ll try it with Mountain Lion when I get home and see if it improved.
EDIT: Or not. I can’t get my download link to work
Thanks chrono … the beauty of upgrading the OS over the internet.
Oh my OS downloaded immediately, its ZBrush I’m having trouble getting
Hopefully today will work.
I just upgraded Mid2011MacBookAir to OSX Mountain Lion, I don`t see any problem so far.
Starting up Zbrush even faster !!
having issues with matcaps here, krotart pack won’t load anymore since I updated to mountain lion (from snow leopard).
EDIT: problem solved. filename of the matcaps need to be shorter in mountain lion apparently
Does 4r4 still have the Wacom lag issue with Mountain Lion?
I’m currently on Snow leopard and 4r4 works fine right now, but I want to upgrade to Mountain Lion pretty soon.
someone on the board mentioned still having the isue with 4R4, I think I read that in the 4R4 annoucement thread
I’m not sure if the lag issue is still there since I can’t test it on my Macbook Air (and my Mac Pro doesn’t have the lag issue) but the Wacom input delay issue is still there
Luckily its better than it used to be but its still unusable for most purposes. I think its a Wacom driver issue although this time I can only reproduce the issue in ZBrush. Corel Painter and Photoshop seem to be OK.
Thats the only issue keeping me from updating to Lion or Mountain Lion
Well I thought I’d jump in and install Mountain Lion and [after testing ZBrush for a few minutes] I don’t appear to have any problems.
I’m on a 2008 Mac Pro with an Intuous 3 tablet and I’m running an oldish Wacom Driver (6.1.6-2) because I found that version the most stable for me back when I was using Snow Leopard. No need to upgrade the Wacom driver if it works, I guess.
Also, and this might be completely unrelated, when I’ve had Wacom trouble in the past it’s usually been related to having duplicate preference files in the ~/library/preferences folder that I needed to delete.
Don’t know if any of that will help anyone, but I thought I’d better post it anyway.
FYI for anyone that has the same problem as me (laggy input after pressing an express key) Wacom acknowledged the issue and said a fix is in the works and will be released with driver 6.33, however they do not have an ETA of when that driver will be available
We are on 6.2-4 so hopefully we see it sooner rather than later…
