Ok, so I spent a good deal of time posing this character I made in Max but in my infinite genius I didn’t import the extra objects such as eyes, hair, clothes as subtools… so now I have this posed character and it would be a real pain to re-orient all the extras to it. I’ve imported both my posed and unposed models and I’m thinking a morph would solve my problem, but I’m pretty new to zbrush and having some difficulty figuring out how to do it… also not able to find the right tut here… could someone maybe point me in the right direction? much appreciated.
If you import the extras as subtools, it may be possible via TransPose Master. I’m not sure on this one, though.
- In ZBrush, set up your model so that you have different subtools for the extra objects.
- In Max, make sure that there is a different polygroup for each object to correspond with the subtools you created in ZBrush.
- Export the whole model from Max as a single OBJ.
- In ZBrush, make sure you have your model with subtools selected and all visible.
- Press TPose>SubT button in Transpose Master and select the OBJ you saved at (3).
Providing the vertex counts for subdiv level 1 for each subtool in ZBrush are the same as the polygroup objects in Max this should work OK.
