I’m having problems updating my UV’s in 3.5r…I’ve done this several times in previous versions of ZB using Morph and received great results, not so much this time around. I sculpted a head for a character awhile back and now want to add the UV’s in the UV map for the rest of the character.
-So i export the lowest res from ZB bring it into my Maya file move the geometry into position, then move the heads UV’s into the into the map with everything else, I’ve done nothing to the geometry but move it…
-I export the new head as an OBJ.
-load up my tool with the old UV’s in ZBt drop it to lvl1, store the morph target and clear the tool
-Import the obj w/ the correct UV’s… I receive a message that the topology of the mesh has changed( i did make some slight changes but nothing that whould have changed the vert order), press yes to transfer high-resolution details to the modified mesh, i hit yes…
-I then hit the switch button it bumps the model up to the last lvl, but none of the detail from my original is there, basically just smooths it, but the uv’s r fixed…???
It’s been awhile since i’ve done this so maybe i’m totally missing something and i’ll be kicking myself in the ass for even posting this, at least i hope but I’ve never run into this problem b4. Does anyone have any clue why I’m getting this problem?
