Sure but it’s quite a few steps. Here it goes:
Create a cube 3
Make it a polymesh 3d
Draw it on the canvas
Enter edit mode
Store a new MT
Divide the mesh 6 times
Create a new layer at subdiv level 6 (not sure this is required)
Sculpt the mesh
Clone the mesh
Take the cloned mesh down to SDiv1
Create a new zsphere
In Rigging> Select ->PM_3DCube3D
In Topology> Select ->PM_3DCubeCopy
(DeleteMT) on both the cloned and original mesh
Go back into the zsphere and undo both the select topology and select rig
Select the rig and select the topology again and click Edit Topology
You should receive the error message.
I don’t think I had to do all of this to get the error on my mesh. As it is now, I don’t even have to delete the morph targets on my mesh to get the error message. To get the error on my mesh, I just open the model, setup the zsphere topo and click edit topology.
The result that I am looking for is this:
Create a new cube mesh 3d
Convert the cube mesh to poly mesh
Store a new MT
Divide the mesh 6 times
Create a new layer and sculpt
Clone the mesh
Take the cloned mesh down to subdiv 1
Create a new zsphere
In rigging, select the high res cube
In topology, select the SDiv 1 (cloned version)
Press a on the keyboard to preview
At this point, exit preview. Ideally, I should be able to edit the topology of the mesh and go back to preview to see the high resolution version.
Try to edit the topology and delete the rigging and topology on the zsphere then select them again. ZBrush will crash.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
