i just want to say thaks pixo guys. if it wasnt for them i wouldent have got into 3d art at all. it was just by pure chance that i saw a video of zbrush on youtube and from that point on i was hooked. since then i’ve been teaching myself all sorts of 3d packages and things that i never thought i’d be able to do and it all started with zbrush. so if your feeling impatient just remember how awesome these guys are and cut them some slack. that said i am still so ecited that i think i’m gunna puke when i get it.

what they shouldn’t do, is SAY they will bring out something. Then they avoid the situation where people rant on.
I would love to see more videos though to tide me over.
what would’ve made for the most satisfying teaser i think. is to have released the help docs in the lead up to the release. especially now since it’s running a little later than expected

I wonder if they will fix the zoom lock that I get while using Zspheres? The 3.1 update still didn’t fix that for me. Ugh. 
If it takes a bit more time to get it right, let them have the time. Heck… It is a free upgrade people. If they were Adobe they would charge $500.00 every year for another version of Photoshop that has more bugs than the year before it, just to get one or two new features. I am grateful that Pixologic is nice enough to give us new features like this for FREE. They are a great company and I wish others would follow their lead.

I beleave they have fixed the zoom, as it says almost unlimited zooming, which was what made Re-topology a pain.
Now what would be realy cool, is if we had a lazy mouse type retopology. Draw it on, and watch it convert to new topology.
I suspect Pixologic set a deadline so as to help motivate themselves. If you don’t set deadlines then you can tend to relax and dither around.
And setting a deadline internally doesn’t really work as you can then easily change it without any fuss

Hehe, I’ve been lurking around here for ages and just bought ZBrush because of the 3.5 video and declaration of imminent release. Oh well, more waiting.

What ARE ZSpheres anyway? I mean, I know what they do and how to use them, but since they are perfect spheres I wonder what kind of geometry they’re made of. NURBS? B-splines? Magic orbs? And know that you can cut directly into them, would that be some kind of real-time/interactive boolean operations going on then?
whats even more exciting about this whole staggered release is that there will be a artistic explosion I just cant wait to see the forum bloom with new zsphere models and new styles and soooo much awesomeness its almost too much to bear… ps they should be charging the whingers!!!

like the zspheres 2 as it looks reasonably complicated.

Suggestion to pixologic…open up the beta forum to us and let us see the beta artwork:) I know that would give everyone something to do for a few days. You guys did it with 3.0 Do it again just a little sooner
