Actually, I won’t even be able to touch ZBrush for a month anyways due to 2d projects piling high. I would miss SO many deadlines if the Mac version was coming out this week! People would be upset, and I wouldn’t care. I’d play sick like I was some little kid trying to skip out on school!
I think they are just staggering the e-mails. They will send out batches but not all at once so they don’t overload their servers.
i bought zbrush years ago so I am hoping they are sending the e-mails in order of day ordered. That would be kinda fair:) for us old timers.
I really do think they are going to start sending out e-mails tonight for some reason. I just got a feeling.
We will update this announcement the moment that the release has happend and upgrade links have started going out.
Hmm… For me it sounds like they´re already sending out mails for upgrading or not?

i am pretty sure as soon as the e-mails start going out some dolt ( maybe me ) will login to flaunt it over everyone:)

Pixologic is starting to remind me of some girlfriends I’ve had, and it’s not exactly a good thing…I’m super bummed.
Really? You payed for a product from them and received it? Then they showed their appreciation and they offered you more for free when they didn’t have to? Sounds pretty good to me even if they didn’t deliver on time.
Folks, pixologic is a private company under no obligations to provide any updates. If they wished they could act as emotional as some of the posters and decide to only give updates to those they liked or just not at all.
But instead they appreciate their users and offer something for nothing and to all. I for one appreciate their efforts and understand that creative genius is not bound to a calender but I’m honored that they try to be.
Thank you pixologic for being a different kind of company. In any day and age but specifically now, your generosity is astonishing.
i just wanna add one more remark here. im not complaining about anything but i do have to ask why people are so angry? there is no real reason for it. yes everyone is excites about the upcoming release and pix is a little late, but ya know this a very rare customer base that gets product so well made and incredible that it should wipe out most negativity. most corporations wont do the kinds of things pix is doing. they charge very little for the product and then swing free upgrades to us. i have no complaints. i honestly and trully love this product for its brilliance. what these guys are doing for us is a great service and it shows that they care. thats what is really important here. seems that every upgrade breaks new boundries and pushes the possibilities further. So please give pix a chance. if all they are trying to do is get things right i absolutely believe that they deserve it. pix you rule and dont let anyone make you think different!

This happens EVERYTIME they release something. THe boards fill up with exactly the same comments. It is almost like some of you guys are copying and pasting from the Zbrush 3.0 launch.

Pixologic, Dont! release this untill it is actualy ready, your only get more complaints when it dont work, so mite as well get respect from thoes that care about its functionality. Am I excited? yes I shure am, do I want it like now? Yes, will I be happy if it dont work? totaly not.
If this short delay is about servers, and prep work to get it out, please tell everyone, if its because some bugs are still present, then tell everybody, fix them before it goes out.
I am a mac user and therefore have to wait a little longer for ZB3.5 but just looking at the videos and all the savage new features I both can’t wait and I am being ultimately patient. I mean just look at the Video at the start of this thread… Hard Surfaces!!! Combined with what looks like much more intuetive ZSpheres both 3.5 and 4 are going to be astounding programs. Again pixologic you have made my personal favorite 3D Program (Never mind sculpting tool) Even more independant and smoother!

If there is room for crits here its maybe only on a technicality. If I give a client a deadline for delivering a piece of work…a fixed date in time…and the artwork doesnt arrive on that date then I would expect one or two frustrated e mails at very least. The only change I would make to the whole release mechanism at pixologic would be to maybe come to an agreement whereby a release date is announced “Only” when somethings as finalised as it can be. Zbrushers are an incredibly loyal bunch…were not all going to slope off and start using Slugbox overnight. The update is going to be such a treat to play with and at the moment, im actually quite glad that it isnt here as it would distract me no end.
We cant miss what we havent had yet.
