Well, I’m back at it. This is based off a drawing I found to be hilarious, by the Brett Bean. I know it’s not a perfect match, but I enjoyed making it. Thanks for looking.
hahaha:lol:, great sculpts, and a good laugh too:D!
Did you dynamesh these characters?
so cool!! great skills keep them coming!!
Nice work man.
Thanks for the kind remarks! I met Brett Bean at the San Diego Comic Con in July of this year and really became partial to this concept of his. He has so many great designs.
Polo2011 - I used a bit of everything to make these. I started with a basic zsphere mesh, converted that to dynamesh, then used extractions, mesh inserts, curve brushes, and Shadowbox for most everything else.
Wonderful characters and great sculpts … more please!
So cool! There’s so many details to look at! I hope you post more!
Really nice work in here.
FANTASTIC work Moops, & kudos to Brett as well .
Thank you for the great response! I try to push myself every time I make something and felt this one paid off. It may not be perfect but I really had fun with it. Sometimes, I would squirm in my chair as I was making certain parts of their anatomy, but I could help but laugh
Here are a couple things I did for a recent art test. The male base mesh was provided by Eric Maslowski. The van was done mainly with Shadow Box and lots and of planar and clipping brushes. Colors were also done in ZBrush with Zapplink and polypainting. Both were rendered inZbrush with BPR and BPR filters. Slight levels adjustment for the male anatomy sculpt in Photoshop. Thanks for looking!
I am also in the process of rendering turnarounds and will have them up on Vimeo soon.
Here are a few turnaround videos to go with these.

Haha awesome design, love the proportions!
Here’s another one. This time based on a funny little painting by Julia Bax.
This is how I have my scene set up.
I think I have an addiction to finding drawings and paintings of others and attempting to make them in ZBrush
And you are GRAND at doing this… really superb
And just a couple more turnarounds

I hope it’s okay if I post my newly finished demo reel
Except for the model of Hook, which was textured and uv’d in ZBrush but modeled in Silo and rendered in the Marmoset Toolbag, everything in it was rendered, textured, and modeled in ZBrush. Click on the link under the video to watch in 720p. Thanks for looking!
