Monsters by skullbeast (John Cherevka's W.I.P.)

mouths001.jpg

I’m gonna have nightmares about this darn thing. Creepy.

…and very well done. Looking forward to more.

The Widowmaker came out really good, my only suggestion would be a few white highlights on the cob webs on the left and lower right.

I have to agree with Point. A few points of specularity on the webs would make the webs pop from the scene.

Thanks guys!
heres the final!
same render as the action hero thread. sorry for the duplicates but I thought one should go here too. I had to turn it in today. same render just zoomed in.

Love it: sculpt is looking great, but I also like the overall light and dark composition of the entire pic! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: ! Final pic of WM rocks!

You are getting good at this. I would’nt be surprised if one of the upcoming movies has “concept art by John Cherevka”. :+1:
(that is if we get to make some more films in this little “economic downturn”)

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this, your stuff is getting cooler and more dark and frightning. This beasty made me think of those little fish that swim around the mouths of Mantaray and Whales and clean up after them. They swim into their mouths and gills. I thought of flies buzzing in a swarm around the mouth on the belly, but I’m sure you could come up with some small creatures that are cooler than that. Maybe its red spots are eggs about to hatch and they gather around that mouth.

You probably know what this beast is and does, but I thought I would share just in case.

thanks guys!

Here are a few masks and heads that I built with the help of many at Stan Winston Studios. The sculpture of the skull was done by our digital wizard Scott Patton.

pitchepuck - yep.

AgentEnigma - and that would be a definite no.

Thanks for posting these cool pics of your work. Are you sculpting these, can you tell us a little about them, and what you did. They are so detailed, I don’t know what to ask about first.

They look like they have been built from moulds. I like how you pack so many components inside.
