… my lopoly dragon
This is a displacer beast. idea from a Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual.
Enjoy!
“Tootsie the Omnivore” – 67 zifs – sorry, I was offline and didn’t remember the guidelines and OF COURSE I didn’t save the z-tool to redo it with adaptive skinning instead of unified (31360 polys)
Inspired by Ron’s headless creature above, I was trying to make a neckless critter that would eventually have its mouth right in front of the stomach
Obviously I need to learn more about how to get the skin to wrap as desired …
Hi guys, this is my first update on my character, I have taken the generated mesh from zbrush to maya shaping and adding the prominent features of my character.I decided to change the deisgn alittle because it seemed we were all, mentat and MTB , moving the same direction
After I’ve finished modfiying the character and adding major features I will take it back into zbrush for further modelling.
take care
Kircho
121 Welcome
Here is another go.
This character has a nice mesh. I don’t think it’s nose is working to good for him though. He has a great amount of possibility though.
Sorry I have not taken place with the last two challenges, but I used Ziffs alot, and lately all my models I create with them are starting to look the same I would rather box, nurb model for a little longer to get a good change of pace.
His nose is his eye…lol.
Its cool though.
I hear you on the zifs part. I too was having the same problem. But after doodling a while and having things like models here at ZBC as a good source of inspiration and guidence…I feel more comfortable with them. Plus, yesterday I found out some pretty cool tricks. I am going to try and finish up an annotated Zscript on these Zif Modeling tricks. How to keep a clean adaptive mesh. Tips on membrane usage and how to make effective joints. Just my take on things like that. Its not the way but a way.
Keep’em coming everyone.
Some weird and wacky creations going on here!
My contribution.
Ta,
Mik
Don’t forget IRC chat everyone.
I will be there now until I bail from work (6 hours and counting)…then I’ll sign on at home later.
So come on in!
First Zsphere creature and first content post! More of a test to see how easily/accurately I could do basic anatomy with this wonderful tool, and to introduce myself to the community.
Also… I can’t seem to locate my polygon/zsphere count info in the UI anywhere. Am I missing a zscript or something else that will display such info?
Thanks!
I believe if you hold your mouse above the adaptivly skinned tool it will display the amount of polygons.
nice image Gwot! this is my first time posting a model too! i m a total nembie to this whole CG world, but i m catching on with little practice with the demo.
artboy
Thanks Namek! I actually went back and read the first post again (more carefully this time) and found it. :o
Thanks for the praise artboy! I just have to say that if you can afford the full version, definitely get it. I’m having more fun using zbrush than I ever had in any other art application I’ve ever used.
Hey StolenGoods,
That displacer beast is awesome.
I recognized it before see any of the text in post.
It would super to see it textured.
Animated would be excellent!
another mini contribution to the cause. I was working on a jumpsuit for Mike Myers aka The Shape. Didnt work out exactly as I wanted…practice practice practice…
