A personal tribute project based on a classic illustration by Moebius.
I wanted to explore how his iconic line work, whimsical proportions, and subtle retro-futuristic design language could translate into a fully realized 3D collectible piece.
The challenge was not only to preserve the charm and humor of the original Paris-Side scooter, but also to reinterpret it as a physically printable object with believable structure, clean separations, and paint-friendly surface design.
The piece was fully modeled for production, then resin printed and hand painted as a final physical statue.
Included in this post are both the digital beauty renders and photographs of the finished painted prototype, showing the full journey from 2D inspiration to real-world object.
For context and tribute, the original Moebius illustration is included at the end of the post as the source that inspired this 3D interpretation.
