Is there a way to make the FOV settings in Modo and Zbrush even, other than eye balling it? Like for example, Modo’s FOV is represented by a percentage and I like to set it at 60%. So what would be the equivalent in Zbrush’s “Angle of View” slider? Thank you in advance and have a nice day.
Hi guys,
I’m interested in this too, so if anyone has an answer it would be good to hear it or perhaps to elaborate how to calculate FOV from MODO to ZBrush’s AOV.
It doesn’t have to be exact, approximately close.
I’ve tried a technique that I found on the internet, but with no success. Import a simple dog mesh from ZB to Modo, look through default 35mm SLR with 50mm focal length and 39.5978° angle of view in Modo, of course I centered transformation. Put ZBrush on top of MODO, load a simple mesh dog again now in ZBrush and increase “See-through” so I can match both meshes from both apps. I played for hours with no success. The best result I get around 85, but I think this is too much.
This is really annoying in ZBrush, because my models look distorted in MODO and pretty much every 3D application with real perspective.
If you don’t have an answer, please share your thought and how you deal with this issue.
Thank you in advance,
