Modify the affect of how one brush stroke impacts drawing over a previous stroke?

In the custom brush, stokes below, when the stroke is continuous and goes over itself as in the bottom of the drawing, it sort of plows through the stroke. On a new stroke with the same brush it goes over the previous stroke. Is there any way to control this behavior, in order to choose the desired effect ,as to make it consistent one way or the other for every stroke.

Thanks

You could :

  1. Use the Layer Brush, and store a morph target first. The strokes will then be to a consistent elevation.

  2. Use the new Lazy Mouse 2.0 functions described on the following page (note this may require using a mouse, disabling pressure sensitivity, or adjusting a tablet for consistent pressure):

Thanks Scott, yes layer brush and morph target works nice.
I thought a morph target would have the same affect on this brush but it does not?

By default, that effect works only with the layer brush. Using the lazy mouse 2.0 features, you can apply this effect to a wider variety of brushes.
