modify just selected mesh

Hello
I am modifying the female uterus, but I need to separate the fallopian tube from the ovary, but everything comes together when I try to move it.
my question is,
how can I select part of the mesh,
that when moving it only affects, the selection?
in this case only move the fallopian tube, where the green arrow indicates?

any help will be extremely grateful.

Hi,
not sure what you mean…

Maybe in this case you want to split it into two separate subtools?
-> “hide masked” and then
tool > split hidden

Also read about using polygroups, this is quite basic

All the best…

If the tube is a separate polyroup to the ovary, use the Move Topological Brush to move the part it is hoverered over.

thanks for answer … really thanks…
i record a (0:31 s) video , on Cinema 4D how i did …
but I, still, need to do the same on video but inside ZBrush please …

There are at least two ways you can do that in ZBrush:

  1. Hold Ctrl and mask the part you want to move. Ctrl+click on the mesh to blur the transition between the masked and unmasked portions. Then invert the mask (Tool>Masking>Inverse) before using the Move brush to move the mesh part. Alternatively use the Transpose line to ‘pose’ the portion.

http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/3d-modeling/posing-your-model/transpose/posing/

Or

  1. Select the Move Topological brush. This will move an area of mesh based on where you start the click without the need for masking. You can use quite a big brush size.
